Living & Dining Room Repaint & Wainscoting

Project Description

Interior repainting of a dining room & living room in The Kingsway. Some of the walls previously had wallpaper applied so they needed to be cleaned and primed with an oil-based primer. Wainscoting was also added to the room.

Preparation & Painting Details

Walls

  1. Clean all walls with water & soap to remove wallpaper adhesive

  2. Prime the walls using an oil-based primer to seal away residual adhesive

  3. Apply 2 finish coats

Wainscoting

  1. Fill all nail holes

  2. Light sand to smooth newly installed trim

  3. Caulk all edges and joints

  4. Apply a coat of latex primer to newly installed trim

  5. Apply 2 finish coats

  • Walls: Benjamin Moore - Pewter (2121-30)
