Cedar Deck Restoration (Melman St)

Project Description

This cedar deck was previously stained with a water-base stain so it kept peeling. We stripped the previous coating and applied two coats of Cutek Extreme Wood Oil (Oil based semi-transparent stain)

Preparation & Painting Details

  1. The deck was agressively sanded with 40 grit sandpaper to remove the existing coating.

  2. A finish sand using 80 grit paper was done to smoothen the surface and open the wood pores

  3. The areas were cleaned and vaaccuumed

  4. 2 coats of Cutek Extreme wood oil (semi-transparent stain) was applied.
