Door Re-finishing (Lytton)

Project Description

Re-finishing the front door and garage doors. The old stain was failing so we had to sand down the doors to remove the existing stain. We then stained the doors and applied a clear coat

Preparation & Painting Details

  1. Use a dustless sander to sand off all existing stain and clear coat w/ 80 grit sand paper

  2. Hand sand the corners and details

  3. Light sand to all areas with 120 grit to smoothen surfaces

  4. Wipe 1 coat of stain

  5. Apply clear top coat

  6. Sand with 220 grit

  7. Repeat steps 5 & 6 two more times
